Hemcro Africa was founded early 2004 by HO Cronjé.
He was intensively involved in water related and other industrial
projects since 1987. He was further involved with a number of
well-established engineering and consulting firms, specialising in
water related infrastructure and treatment systems.

The last seven years, before starting the company, he worked as a project engineer and project manager at a leading project management company, where he was mainly involved in the planning and execution of water related and other industrial projects, on a turnkey basis.

The combination of various basic principle technologies and the assistance of local South African Process Engineers and suppliers resulted in the development of simple and fully automated water treatment systems in the global water treatment field.

The founding of Hemcro Africa developed naturally due a huge demand for small water and waste treatment systems, specifically in Africa and other developing parts of the world.
